OPEN GARDEN! To our local gardening friends. My dear close friends Gael and John Dodd have spent a lifetime creating what I KNOW is truly a world class garden. This SPECTACULAR garden is one I know well and one you will not want to miss. They open it only once a year. It's a must see and an experience that will leave you feeling relaxed, inspired and speechless. There is no other garden like the one they have created together. I was there last night and it's prime right now. They invite you to see their " WINGSWEPT GARDENS" This Sunday May 20th from 10-4. Supervised Children and your family and friends are most welcome. Address is 24365 61st Avenue Langley.. Wear Practical Shoes and enjoy the walk. There is no charge. If you see them, tell them Brad sent you. Just more of the garden ! The waxy Red rhodo has a stellar bloom. Has to be seen up close. It’s called Lems Storm Cloud. Love the name and plant. I started 90 percent of all the Rhodos you see here from cuttings. Most from a friends garden or from Clays nursery , operated by dear friends Bev and Les Clay who were so generous and kind giving me a leg up when I first apprenticed there! Bev would often give me young starter plants to take home . I had never worked for kinder people. Their main focus was the rhododendron market.
