About Us
The Langley Curling Club facility (1965), which started out
with only four sheets of ice has expanded to six sheets (1990). Two viewing
areas, one at ice level and one in the facility’s lounge both offer excellent
opportunities to watch our many leagues in action.
Located in the George Preston Memorial Center, the curling facility is
owned by the Township of Langley, but managed by Recreation Excellence and
encompasses a variety of meeting rooms, concession stand, commercial kitchen,
locker room, office and pro shop, ice arena and licensed lounge.
The Langley Curling Club has over 800 long-time and new curlers, which
makes us one of the largest clubs in BC, and boasts few unused curling times.
There is daytime curling Monday through Thursday and full evening curling
with 2 draws Monday through Friday with Saturday having a full junior program
all morning accommodating children as young as 5 to 18 and then 3 full draws
of curlers starting @ 4.45pm. Sunday is home to the Optimist “Highpoint”
Division and a Special Olympics group in the evening and our NEW Novice league
@ 7pm.
The club has on ice cameras & 22” monitors for better viewing of the
“away” end. We have a very active school program and host many Curl BC
play-downs and bonspiels. Our club is home for the BC Junior Men’s provincial
champions from the 2010/11 season – Team Klymchuk.
The club has a very well stocked and well-priced pro shop for all your
curling needs.
